Lutts, TN Tornado Relief Fund
Donation protected
Friends, Family, and Good Samaritans,
My name is V.Jay LaRosa, I'm living in Celebration, Fl when I'm not at home in Lutts, TN.
Today is a grim day for my family living there in Lutts, TN. At that time of the year when we should be celebrating with our friends and family, we are instead picking up the pieces of what is left of my 85 year old Grandfather and Father's home after a massive tornado ripped through our town of Lutts, TN.
Many of our friends and neighbors are now without homes, food, clothing, or transportation the day before Christmas. I'm reaching out to each and everyone I can asking for any help that you can spare for this small community.
I have started this campaign to raise money to help my family and the people in Lutts to try to rebuild what they have lost at such a terrible time of the year for a disaster to strike. Please help by donating whatever amount of money you can through this campaign.
Our intent is to use this money to help those hit the hardest and have the least first find temporary shelter, food, water, and clothing. Ultimately we would like to raise enough money to help rebuild as many homes as possible but first we have to deal with the basic nescessities for survival after a natural disaster like this.
For anyone who wishes to send physical donations of clothing, canned goods, or other items, please contact me directly through the gofundme website to coordinate.
Shipping to this town is difficult right now as the post office, which was right across the street from my family’s home, was also demolished. I am working with local disaster relief aid to coordinate drop shipments into the town now. Any assistance you can offer will be greatly appreciated and I will be eternally grateful!
Thank you and have a happy holiday season
Sincerely,
V.Jay LaRosa
This was the post office in the upper corner, and my Dad looking across the street at where our neighbor Jimmy's house used to be.

My Father and Step Mother were in their RV when the tornado hit and picked up this 35' RV and threw it across the yard sucking their cat and belongings out the window right in front of their eyes. They still have not found their cat Dolly.

This was my family's home

This is where all of their belongings are now...

This is my 85 year old Grandfather who just now (2:00PM CST) let EMT's take him to the hospital. He was thrown threw the wall of his house on a refrigerator
and landed 200 yards away under the roof and a pile of rubble when the tornado hit. He spent the entire night and most of today looking for his cats that he loves and cherishes. Of his 8 cats he cares for, he has only found three so far. Out of exhaustion and despair he finally gave in to us and let them take him to get checked out.
