Having worked directly with over 20 nonprofits across four continents, including the World Economic Forum, I’ve seen the gap firsthand that often exists between good intentions and real, positive impact. Many people have lost trust in the nonprofit world, and the sector urgently needs trustworthy, independent, and rigorous vetting so that donors and communities know which organisations are truly helping.
Too many extraordinary organisations lack the systems to demonstrate their actual impact, while donors lack reliable ways to distinguish transformational nonprofits from those that may unintentionally cause harm or negative ripple effects. Sometimes damage may be deliberate, but most of the time it occurs because organisations lack the awareness, tools, or feedback needed to understand the full impact of their work.
What will Transpact do?
- Nonprofit accreditation: Create a rigorous, transparent accreditation system that helps nonprofits in Switzerland prove their impact, and allows donors to find organisations they can genuinely trust.
- Education for impact: Offer accessible learning resources so nonprofits, companies, and individual supporters can understand how to improve their work for the different UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
- Community and collaboration: Build a global community, including nonprofits, donors, volunteers, and beneficiaries, to work together to make this world a safer, happier, and healthier place for all people, animals, and ecosystems.
Our board includes extraordinary leaders: sustainability experts, a former chief economist, a former UN and multilateral diplomacy leader, investment banking and finance executives, a nonprofit fundraising expert, and impact‑driven practitioners based in Geneva, Lausanne, Zurich, and Boston. This diverse expertise ensures Transpact’s standards will be both globally relevant and locally grounded.
