Rebuild-Evacuate: Helping my Family in Gaza

Donation protected
Hello, as of restrictions from GoFundMe, this is fundraising for my family who live in Gaza.
I Salem Abualqumboz who lives in Belgium starting this campaign to help them out as much as I can.

Here is my family story...
Once there was a family named Abualqumboz. They lived happily in a city called Gaza. Muhammed Jamal and Eman, the parents, who still live in our family house.
Our father Marwan worked hard to build a lovely home for his kids and grandchildren, Marwan, Meryan, Rayan, and Adam. They had lots of good times together, but one night, everything changed.

A big conflict hits their city, Gaza, wrecking houses and causing chaos. Abualqumboz's home was smashed, leaving them with nothing but each other. They had to leave and find somewhere safe to stay.

Now, they're facing tough times, but they're not giving up. They were displaced from Gaza city to go to Rafah (near the borders of Egypt).

That's where you come in. They need your help to rebuild/flee for their lives. Even a small donation can make a big difference. Together, we can give them hope and a fresh start to rebuild their home again after all this madness finishes.

Plan B: To evacuate my family from Gaza to Egypt but that is not easy as it sound, because they have to pay too much to do something called “coordination” just to pass the border via a company called “Hala for consultancy and tourism services” (legalised by Egypt government).
For 1 person cost at least 5000$ as adult, 2500$ for kids (these costs risen by time).
How about 6 persons, Muhammed and his family!
These fees just to pass Rafah crossing to go to Egypt which is the only way to escape from Gaza/death, not talking about other costs.
This is going to be first time for them leaving Gaza.
After that they have to stay in Egypt until this war hopefully finish soon so they can go back to Gaza.
The average cost to live in Egypt cost 2200$ per month for a family of 6 ppl.

The way I’m gonna send donations to them via MoneyGram or Western Union.

So, kindly join us in making a difference for them. Let's show them that they're not alone in this journey.

Update 15/11/2024

On June 5th, when we were forced to flee from our home in Rafah. It was a day filled with terror as death seemed to stalk us with every step. We escaped to Mawasi Al-Qarara, desperately hoping for a safe haven, but the area was overflowing with others who had been uprooted by the same violence. For three long days, we slept in the streets, cold and exposed, with nothing to shelter us from the harsh world around us.

Finally, we managed to find some fabric and built a makeshift tent. It wasn’t much—just some cloth draped together without a roof, leaving us vulnerable to the elements. And then, the nightmare worsened. One day, the tanks rolled in without warning, and the sound of war returned. The Israeli army penetrated the area, and suddenly, we were surrounded by shelling and gunfire. There was nowhere to run and no place to hide. In the chaos and pitch darkness, we gathered what little we had and fled again, making our way to the beach, where we spent the night lying on the cold ground as shells exploded and bullets whizzed above us. It was the hardest day of our lives—fear and helplessness hung thick in the air, and survival was all we could think about.

Now, we are in Deir al-Balah, living in a tent once more. The nights are growing colder, and we are struggling to prepare for winter. We have no winter clothes for our children, no blankets to keep us warm, and no solid roof to shield us from the coming storms. Our only source of relief comes from the aid trucks that occasionally bring food, but even those are not enough. The harshness of the days to come looms over us, and every day feels like a new struggle to stay alive.

Winter is approaching quickly, and we need help to make it through. We need warm clothes to protect our children from the bitter cold, blankets to wrap around our shivering bodies, and a sturdy tent to shelter us from the rain and wind. We are holding onto hope that this war will end soon, but we cannot make it alone.

Your support can be a lifeline for us during this harsh time. Please help us survive the winter and keep our children safe from the cold.
