I'm writing this for my brother, TJ Cannizzo. Unfortunately, as of 2/7/2026, my brother's house caught fire and it became unlivable and flattened by the destruction. Nothing is savable in the house, all of his personal items are gone. All people and animals are safe but this was more than just a house to TJ. This house was a home he built over 5 years with our father for himself and his son (and their adorable pets). Every inch of this house was touched by his (and our father's) hands. The flames were spotted and within 15 mins, boards were crackling, then flames and smoke engulfed the entire house. Thank you to the fire departments on-site to contain the flames, but within hours, the house was gone and leveled.
TJ is the best big brother, father, son, and friend. He's always there to fix something for someone else: if you have a flat tire, he's there with his jeep, have a tech issue, he's there to unplug and rewire everything to fix it, or even just an extra hand, he would say he has 2 of them! This is something that will not be fixed by himself and will not be fixed quickly. This house took 5 years of blood, tears, and a lot of sweat, the items inside took a lifetime to collect.
TJ enjoys the thrill of a thrifted shopping trip, amassing rooms of antique, vintage, and retro items (video gaming focused) as well as state-of-art video game consoles (Oculus Quest & Nintendo products). On the walls hung artwork created by himself, his son, and family&friends!
We appreciate any support as TJ rebuilds his home and his life after this tragedy.
