Rebuilding the Church after Super Typhoon Rai

Hello, my name is Collin Schneide, creator of the Faithful Word App, and this Fundraiser is for Faith and Verity Baptist Church in Mandaue, Cebu, Philippines, Pastored by Pastor Sam Mancili.

Faith and Verity Baptist Church is an active Soulwinning church, New IFB in doctrine, sings the old fashioned hymns, teaches godly standards, and the pastor is out soul-winning most every day with his family or members of the church. This past Mega-Marathon, the church had 14 soul-winners in the community.

The church typically runs between 30 to 40 people on a Sunday morning, and the pastor lives on-site next to the church building on the rented land.

In December 2021, the Philippines experienced the worst super typhoon in 34 years, directly impacting this church's area. In addition to wreaking havoc on the city, the storm completely leveled the church building built on a hill. The walls, the roof, and the pastor's shack were all destroyed. The church has put a temporary covering out of materials from the ruined church next to the original church site. Still, their goal is to rebuild the original building to accommodate services.

To complete rebuilding, their landlord has also given them a favor and offered to hold off on rent payments due until January 2022. Still, the building is not completed.

The cost to complete the rebuild is estimated at 102,496 Philippine Piso, or about $1,957.00 in USD.

From the pastor, the requirements are as follows:

• Hollow Blocks – 700 pcs ,13 pesos each

Total = 9,100 pesos (174 dollars)

• Iron - 30 pcs 10mm , 220 pesos each

Total = 6,600 pesos (127 dollars)

• Cement – 30 Bags 190 each

Total = 5,700 pesos (109 dollars)

• Sand – 3 cubics , 1,700 pesos per cubic

Total = 5,100 pesos (97 dollars)

• Plywood for Ceiling ¼ marine = 25 pcs , 480 each

Total = 12,000 pesos (229 dollars)

• Coco Lumber 2x2x12 – 61 pcs 96 each

Total = 5,856 (111 dollars)

• Jalouplast / Window – 12 blades ,3/16 clear glass , 8 sets, 3,030 per set

Total = 24,240 (463 dollars)

• Labour 6 weeks – 2 person, 6,600 per week

Total = 39,000 (745 dollars)
