Rebuilding the Blue Ridge
Donation protected
Boone, North Carolina served me so well for 8+ years of my life. I am heartbroken by the disaster caused by hurricane Helene in Western North Carolina. Although I do not live in Boone anymore, I am determined to make a difference and help the community get back on track. I owe so much of my success, both personal growth and business wise, to this town.
I am proud to have graduated from Appalachian State University and I could never take for granted all of the beauty this town added to my life. The blue ridge mountains have always been an incredible inspiration for my designs, music taste, love of nature, etc. My love for Doc Watson and bluegrass music originated in Boone, which prompted me to start creating bolo ties in 2018. I am so thankful the Boone community supported my business and loved my passion as much as I did. I was able to go full time with my craft, completely investing in my jewelry designs and building my brand. I hosted artisan markets and successful pop up events, collaborated with other businesses, and had many incredible opportunities.. all because of Boone. I can confidently say I would not be where I am without the community that helped me build my business, Semplice Designs.
I am now living in East Nashville creating jewelry for performing musicians and vending at music festivals and large scale events. I am lucky to be living my dream, and I am thankful that Western NC is where it all began. Helping Boone recover is *so* unbelievably important to me for this reason, among many other reasons. Watauga County needs our help, any amount of money you can donate will add up to make a huge difference.
as many of you know, organizations that need our help change on a daily basis. As I continue to receive donations, I will be selecting different organizations to donate to based on my best judgment at the time of donation. All GoFundMe receipts will be posted to my Instagram under the "WNC Relief" highlight tab. So far, I have donated to:
Flour and Equal Plates- Two Asheville organizations making a difference by feeding the community.
BeLoved Asheville- delivering supplies and food
