I am Lauri Sutton in Colorado raising funds for my cousin, Suzi Clinfinger. She owns Mystery Bay Sales and Canvas in Nordland, Washington. Suzi’s small business literally has gone up in smoke and is a total loss. On November 5th, there was a terrible fire that burned down the store that her shop is attached to. Although her shop did not burn to the ground, it was saturated with smoke and the fire department said the temperature inside reached an extreme temperature of 1000 degrees. All of her beautiful fabric she used to create sails, bags, hats, shirts are ruined. Her embroidery machine and all her sewing machines melted. Twelve years of building her business to support her far into retirement, gone overnight. She is a determined person and will rise from the ashes, but she could really use your support and encouragement. Her embroidery machine alone cost $24,000.
She is looking for a building to rent, then she needs to replace her machines (insurance won't even cover all the machine costs), then she said, "where do I begin to replace all the small gadgets I use?" Let's get together and help Susie get up and sewing again. Thanks so much for being a part of her new journey.
