Rebuilding Sight Sea-R of Fort Myers Beach

Hi, my name is Ryan Van Denabeele; I am the Marketing and Operations Director at Salty Sam's Marina on Fort Myers Beach. We run the Sight Sea-R tour boat that has hosted thousands of people over the years and given them memories of SWFL that will last a lifetime. Hurricane Ian has devastated the area and the marina. Sight Sea-R has extensive damage but is still floating.

We are raising funds to help rebuild the Sight Sea-R tour boat. While we have insurance on the boat, there will be things not included in the insurance. These funds will go to the rebuilding of the boat and help our staff.

We had the coast guard inspector and adjusters on the boat yesterday to help get a sense of what we need to do. There's a long road ahead of us, but we're looking forward to the challenge. Hopefully, we'll be up and running in one way or another, either helping our community during recovery or giving people a feeling of normalcy.
