Rebuild Lives in Santa Rosa

Santa Rosa, CA - 
A beautiful town with rolling hills and gurgling creeks, lush greenery and heartwarming landscapes, was laid to waste early monday morning by ravaging wild fires.
Families sleeping peacefully were hurriedly awakened a little after midnight,  by friends and family, to a glowing orange sky and thick smoke.  With their kids and pets, they fled their homes with whatever important stuff they could collect within ten minutes- working with flashlights, since there was a power outage, already.
    My sister's family and about 10 other friends' familes aggregated in one friend's house in Petaluma. By evening, many of them discovered their homes have been burnt to ashes.  Every single belonging, possession - from books to blankets, from photographs to electronics, from furniture to clothes - all burnt down by a merciless Tubbs fire.  Most of these families have 2-3 school going children.
  Everyone is in a state of shock, but they do need to start reliving their lives ASAP. Kids have to go to school, grownups to their work, food must be made, dental appointments kept. Please help in any way you can.
Many many families have lost all they had. This is an effort to help about 20 families that have lost their homes completely.
It is said that there are 5 stages of grief - denial, anger, bargaining, depression and acceptance.  It'll take these families a long time to move on to the third stage, for now they vacillate between denial and anger!
