On January 25, my lifelong friend Sandi Gill (Sandra), whom I consider a sister, and her husband Tony, lost their home to a devastating fire. Her sister Kristin Linney, my very best friend, was also with them at the time, and thankfully escaped safely with their 3 dogs. While everyone made it out, the fire caused extensive damage, and their home is a total loss. Everything they owned was destroyed.

Sandi is one of the strongest people I know, but this sudden and overwhelming loss comes at an already challenging time, as she continues to manage Stage IV metastatic breast cancer. In the days following the fire, she and her husband have been facing significant immediate expenses as they work to stabilize their situation and begin the long process of rebuilding.

They must secure temporary housing and replace everything they lost, as they were only able to get out with the minimal clothing and necessities. Balancing recovery, rebuilding, and ongoing medical care has made this an especially demanding season for their family.
