Re-Building Sail Sand Point's Opti Dock

Donation protected
My name is Alden McGonagle, a potential Eagle Scout from Troop 186 located in Seattle WA. For my Eagle Scout Project, I am building a small floating dock for the nonprofit community boating center Sail Sand Point (SSP) based on Lake Washington. This dock is used year-round for teaching "learn to sail" camps and as a practice space for SPOT (Sand Point Opti Team). As an instructor at SSP during the summer and a participant on its High School Racing Team, I have seen the old Opti dock fall into disrepair. It's time for the old dock to be replaced! Donations to my project will go towards the purchase of the materials needed to build the dock.  Any further funds raised will be donated to SSP itself to provide for additional repairs to other dock spaces so that future generations will be able to experience the life long gift of sailing.

More information about Sail Sand Point: Sail Sand Point is a community boating center located in Seattle, WA. Its mission is to bring the joy and life-enhancing benefits of sailing and small boats to people of all ages, abilities, and backgrounds.
