On Sunday, December 7th, our son Ryan's house suddenly became engulfed in flames. Through the bravery of the local firefighters, they were able to pull Ryan and his dog, Cooper, from the home as it was fully engulfed. Happily, Cooper has fully recovered and is being cared for by a foster family. Unfortunately, Ryan did not fare as well and is currently in Temple University Hospital Burn ICU in critical condition with serious lung damage, 3rd-degree burns on the upper part of his body and hands, as well as acute kidney injury requiring dialysis. His recovery will be lengthy and painful.

On top of this, Ryan lost EVERYTHING. Due to a dire economic situation, Ryan did not have homeowners' insurance, so the home is a total loss. During his long recovery, Ryan will desperately need financial assistance to rebuild his life with everything from medical expenses to clothes to a new place to live. All donations received will go to assisting Ryan and to provide the continued necessary care and support Ryan will need throughout his post-acute care.
