Rebuilding Patchogue Gordo’s Food Truck
Many of us are familiar with the Patchogue Gordo’s Food Truck and the genius beyond the scenes, Ariel Bonilla.
On Saturday, August 28th, Ariel and the Patchogue Gordos truck were on their way to a catering event. While traveling westbound on Sunrise Highway, the Gordo’s trailer unhooked and flipped onto the medium on the highway losing everything, including the beautiful Patchogue Gordos trailer.
For anyone who has ever ordered from Gordos or has had the pleasure to meet the crew at their many catering events knows how hard this crew works to create a diverse menu and a welcoming environment.
This team has worked tirelessly, making meals from scratch with so much love and effort. They have had early mornings and very late nights to help feed our community and bring us a taste of something new that was always missing. A team that worked through the pandemic happily because its a passion to create something that makes other so happy!
Ariel has built this business for himself from the ground up and in a moment, lost everything. He has always helped the Patchogue Community and has always been a helping hand to those in need. It is our turn now to return the favor.
Any amount to help us give Ariel his dream back of continuing this passion of authentic and unique cuisine would be greatly appreciated.
We are all a family in this community. Let us lift and love one another in not only a time of need, but always.
