Help Our Mom Rebuild After a Devastating Apartment Fire

On Wednesday, May 6th, our mom’s apartment complex in Providence caught fire, displacing 12 families including ours. In a matter of hours, she lost her home and is now being forced to start over from scratch.

Our mom has already been facing several ongoing medical battles, and this tragedy has added an overwhelming new challenge. She lives on a fixed income, and with the current housing market, finding a safe and affordable place quickly has become incredibly difficult.

Right now, the Red Cross has helped by covering a hotel stay for our mom, dad, and two younger siblings through Saturday, but after that, they will have nowhere permanent to go.

We are raising funds to help secure a new 2-bedroom apartment, including:

* First month’s rent

* Security deposit

* Basic necessities and household items

* Temporary living expenses during this transition (hotel etc)
