My uncle and our family are in need of help after a devastating earthquake in Cali, Colombia, severely damaged his home and left it unlivable.

Thankfully, my uncle and his family were able to get out safely just in time before the roof collapsed. But in a matter of moments, they lost the safety and stability of their home. The entire roof collapsed, several walls were damaged, the kitchen is gone, and the bathroom needs to be rebuilt.

Right now, they are doing everything they can to retrieve and salvage whatever belongings are still usable. But the damage is extensive. Their kitchen is no longer functional, they have lost essential household items, and they are unable to live safely in the home. For now, kind neighbors have stepped in to provide meals, and our family is doing everything we can to support them. It has been heartbreaking, especially because we cannot be physically there to help.

The most urgent priority is rebuilding the collapsed roof and repairing the damaged walls so the house can once again be made safe and protected from the elements. With the roof completely open to the sky, any rain could cause even more damage to the structure and to the belongings they are trying so desperately to save.

Funds raised will go toward:

* Rebuilding the collapsed roof and repairing damaged walls

* Rebuilding the kitchen and bathroom

* Replacing essential items that were destroyed, including a refrigerator, furniture, cabinets, and household necessities

* Providing meals while they are unable to cook at home

* Covering temporary accommodation while the home is unsafe

* Paying the workers who are already helping at the property with cleanup, repairs, and recovery
