Our family is reaching out for support after the devastating Iron Fire that destroyed a place filled with decades of memories, hard work, and love.
My parents lost two camp trailers, awnings, and many other belongings due to the fire. While some of the smaller items can eventually be replaced over time, the trailers and structures are the most difficult and costly losses to recover from.
This property was much more than just a piece of land—it was my parents’ home away from home. My dad spent much of his retirement savings building and improving this special place, beginning in the 1970s and continuing through the years. It became a gathering place for our family, where we made countless memories camping, hunting, enjoying the outdoors, and carrying on traditions such as our annual trip the weekend after Thanksgiving to cut down Christmas trees.
The loss of this property has been heartbreaking for our entire family. As my parents are getting older and aren’t really able to rebuild this back up themselves as they were when they were young spring chickens, We are hoping to help my parents rebuild the place that brought so much joy, peace, and togetherness to our lives.
Any donation, no matter the amount, will help ease the financial burden of rebuilding and restoring what was lost. If you are unable to donate, sharing this fundraiser with others would mean the world to us.
Thank you for your kindness, support, and prayers during this difficult time. Every contribution brings us one step closer to helping my parents rebuild their happy place and preserve the memories that mean so much to our family.
