I never imagined that, after a lifetime of hard work and sacrifice, I would be starting over from nothing. But after losing my home in the Palisades Fire, I am faced with the devastating reality of having to start my life over.

My name is Fariba and I am from Pacific Palisades, California. As an occupational therapist and a single mom, I have dedicated my career to caring for the elderly, traveling from home to home to ensure their well-being. My days are spent helping others stay safe and cared for, offering comfort to those in need. Now, in an unimaginable turn of events, I find myself needing support just to regain a sense of security.

I am nearing retirement, and this was the only home I had. It held a lifetime of memories, love, and stability. Everything I worked so hard to build. In an instant, it was gone. The emotional and financial toll has been overwhelming, and I am doing everything I can to piece my life back together.

I never thought I would be in a position to ask for help, but right now, I don’t have a choice. Any contribution, no matter the size, will bring me one step closer to moving forward. The funds will be going towards my personal necessities.
