Misty Cheng experiences the 'Nightmare before Christmas,' as heavy rains turn into mass flooding, causing tons of water, mud, and rock to flow through Misty's house in Wrightwood, CA.

When flooding inside the house, looking through her sliding glass door, was described as looking into an aquarium's glass wall. With flooding all the way up to Christmas, and arriving in her house on Christmas morning, she saw the devastating damage to her home in Wrightwood. Flooding destroyed walls and overflowed into the garage and entire 1st floor. With dirt and rocks left by the flood, her home became submerged with mud, debris, dead foliage, and rocks, burying the entire 1st floor of her home up to 5 feet inside and out.

All stemming from last year's fires, which blazed above Misty Cheng's home, causing her house to be vulnerable a year later where the flooding caused mudslides, eventually devastating Misty's home.

Once in the middle of remodeling her home, now she doesn't know where to start with the amount of devastation caused to her home.

With more rain to come, these unforeseen circumstances grave immense danger to already saturated land.

With devastating damage, Misty is unsure how her house will recover and how long this project will last.
