Rebuilding lives - Standing with Simran

Donation protected
Last night, our community witnessed a heartbreaking tragedy as a devastating fire tore through a home on Clifford Court in Howrah.

The home belonged to a hardworking 30-year-old, and his elderly parents, both in their 70s. In just moments, everything they owned, their clothes, memories, and cherished belongings was destroyed in the flames.

The family was rushed to hospital and is now beginning the long and painful journey of recovery, not only from physical injuries, but also from the deep emotional trauma of losing their home and security.

As they return to face the reality of having nothing, we’re calling on our Tasmanian community to come together in the spirit of compassion and generosity.

This is a family who has always shown kindness to others. Now, they need our help.

We’re reaching out to ask for your support, whether it's a donation through this fundraiser or an in-kind contribution. Every dollar makes a difference. Every gesture matters.

In-kind donations can be dropped off at:
Unit 20, 4 Clifford Court, Howrah

Immediate needs include:

Temporary accommodation or shelter

Clothing (for male 27+, male 70+, and female 70+)

Towels

Toiletries

Shoes and slippers

Thank you for your kindness and support.

Please note: All donations made will go directly to the beneficiary.

Together in solidarity with the family.
