Help Tenants of 211 Boylston Apt 2 Recover After Fire
On Thursday, May 28, 2026, a little after 10:00AM, East Coast Divers at 213 Boylston St (Route 9) in Brookline, MA suffered a fire that engulfed the building, including the two residential apartments located directly above it at 211 Boylston St.
We the residents of Apartment 2, Eesha Patel, Julia Lau, and Sadie Blackshear, kindly ask that you consider making a donation towards our efforts to move forward from this devastating event. While we are grateful to all be in good health, along with our precious cat Char Char that was safely rescued by the brave firefighters on site the day of the fire, we incurred a major loss of belongings. Eesha in particular suffered a near-complete loss, as her room was located directly above the source of the fire.
211 Boylston and Brookline at large was our home for the past two and a half years, and we intended to stay longer had it not been for the fire. The outpouring of support the day of the fire from our neighbors was overwhelming, and we are forever grateful for their generosity.
At this time, we are seeking financial assistance in building back our lives and placing a deposit on a new apartment. As young working professionals, this has been a devastating loss to the life that we have been working diligently to build for ourselves.
If you have a personal relationship with any of the tenants, please feel free to also directly give to them via Venmo; we will be distributing all proceeds from this GoFundMe amongst ourselves in an effort to move forward from this traumatic event together.
