Rebuilding life in a temporary home.

Hello, everyone. My name is Lukas, and I find myself at a challenging crossroads in life. After eight years, my partner and I have unexpectedly parted ways (his sudden doing), leaving me with the responsibility of caring for our beloved dogs. Unfortunately, his demanding job schedule, which prompted us to move across the country, makes it impossible for him to provide the love and attention they deserve.

The priority for me right now is ensuring the well-being of my furry companions. I'm working endlessly to secure a new home immediately that accommodates all of us and is a very safe environment, but the transition requires some financial support. I'm reaching out to you, our community, in the hopes that you can help us make this move as smooth as possible.

Having experienced homelessness before, I am determined not to go down that path again. I am committed to providing a stable and loving environment for my dogs and myself. Your support will contribute directly to securing a safe and comfortable space where we can rebuild our lives together. In addition to the challenges of the separation, we had recently relocated across the country in support of his new job. This unforeseen turn of events has added a layer of complexity to the situation.

I am navigating this transition while actively engaged in intense PTSD/trauma therapy to overcome the hurdles that life has thrown my way in the past, including my family for disowning me for being gay.

This journey is not just about finding a new home but also about rediscovering and becoming the person I've always aspired to be. I understand that times are tough for many, and any contribution, no matter how small, will make a significant difference in our lives.
