On July 22, 2026, Jordan and Liz were the victims of a robbery where almost everything they owned was stolen. It was the very first night they were planning to stay in their new apartment together when their U-haul was stolen with all of their belongings inside of it. They got to the apartment late and only had time to unload a few boxes of clothes and toiletries for the night. Just after midnight, they parked the U-haul at the closest available parking spot near their building, and an hour later the U-haul was was broken into, hot wired, and stolen. They have camera footage from the building next to them that confirms this happened around 1:16 AM. Jordan and Liz filed a police report, but the police have been unable to recover the truck or any of their possessions. Additionally, they do have renters insurance, but due to a clause in the contract (they only cover $1000 worth of items stolen from a vehicle) they will not be close to getting reimbursed for the tens of thousands of dollars worth of items they lost.

Jordan and Liz calculated that they lost thousands of dollars worth of music studio equipment, furniture, clothes, jewelry, electronics, sentimentals, photographs; quite literally everything they own. Their passports, social security cards, important documents, and computers were all taken. Jordan and Liz have compiled a rough list of everything that was stolen in a sheet that we will link here. Jordan is a musician and producer and has completely lost the ability to work; all his hard drives with the work he has created over his lifetime are gone. This also included his saxophone, guitars, keyboards, studio monitors, a custom built desk, etc. It is difficult to put into words how devastating it has been to see a lifetime worth of possessions disappear overnight.
