Relief Roll-Out: Mid-November

1. Who We Are

We are Ree-Charge CIC, a Birmingham-based community organisation dedicated to supporting mental health, wellbeing, and community resilience. In response to the devastating hurricane that has struck Jamaica, we have launched this urgent appeal to provide practical relief, rebuilding assistance, and community wellbeing support for those most affected.

2. What We’re Doing

Ree-Charge CIC is currently collecting essential supplies — including clothing, hygiene products, non-perishable foods, baby items, and household goods — which will ALL be shipped directly to Jamaica in barrels and containers.

In-line with our shipment arrival which we anticipate to be in mid-November, our relief rollout will begin immediately upon arrival.

We plan on sending three dedicated teams from the UK to Jamaica to support on the ground:

Team One: Distribution Team

Our community volunteers will collaborate with local partners to distribute your donated items — including food, hygiene kits, and essential household goods — to families and individuals most in need.

Team Two: Rebuilding Team

Skilled tradesmen, electricians, and plumbers will work directly within local communities to help rebuild homes and infrastructure, restoring safety and stability for families.

Team Three: Medical Team

A group of healthcare professionals will provide on-the-ground medical support, helping those suffering from injury, illness, or trauma in the aftermath of the hurricane.

3. How the Funds Will Be Used

Your donations will directly support:

Any cost’s associated with the shipping of supplies from the UK to Jamaica.

Purchasing local building and medical supplies to strengthen our relief efforts.

Covering logistics and transport costs to ensure aid reaches even remote communities.

Supporting our volunteer teams during deployment (accommodation, equipment, safety).

All funds will be managed transparently by Ree-Charge CIC to ensure every contribution directly supports relief, rebuilding, and recovery efforts.

4. Why This Matters

This mission is deeply personal to our community. Many of our members, volunteers, and supporters have family in Jamaica — and for us, this isn’t just about aid, it’s about standing with our people in their time of need. Together, we can help rebuild homes, restore livelihoods, and bring back hope where it’s been lost.
