Rebuilding Hope in Lesser-Known Westmoreland After Hurricane

Donation protected
Hi everyone,
My name is Oleecia, and I’m originally from Fort William, Westmoreland, Jamaica, though I now live in New York. My heart is heavy as I share the devastation that my home communities — Fort William, Williamfield, Marros, and Glendbrooks — have faced after Hurricane Melissa.

These are small, rural areas in Westmoreland that many may not know by name, but they are filled with hardworking, loving families who have lost nearly everything. The storm completely destroyed many of the traditional board houses — leaving families without shelter, clothing, or basic necessities.

I’ve created this fundraiser to help provide rebuilding materials, food, clothing, and other essential supplies for those most affected. Every dollar raised will go directly toward helping my family, friends, and neighbors begin to rebuild their homes and their lives.

Even the smallest contribution makes a difference. Your kindness and support mean more than words can express. If you’re unable to donate, simply sharing this page can also make a huge impact.

Thank you from the bottom of my heart for standing with the people of Westmoreland as we work together to bring hope, comfort, and strength back to our communities.

With gratitude,
Oleecia
