Rebuilding Hope: Help The Strickland's Hurricane Recovery
Donation protected
Last week, the Strickland's home in Spartanburg, SC was severely flooded during Hurricane Helene, leaving them with devastating damage and no flood insurance to cover the costs. The flood destroyed nearly everything inside—furniture, clothing, and cherished personal items—and now they’re facing the overwhelming task of rebuilding their home and lives.
I'm Philip LeRoy and I'm starting this GoFundMe to support my dear friends Michael and Ellen Strickland and their two young children. They’ve always been the kind of people who are there for others—whether it’s lending a hand to a neighbor or being a supportive presence for their family and community. But now, they need our help more than ever.
The financial burden is immense, with repair costs expected to range from $75,000 to $100,000, on top of the expense of temporary housing and replacing everything they've lost. Despite staying strong and starting cleanup, the journey ahead is a long and challenging one. That’s why I’m asking for your help to raise $50,000 (to start) to cover these urgent costs and give Michael and Ellen a safe place to live again.
Any contribution you can make, big or small, will go a long way in helping Michael and Ellen rebuild their home and restore a sense of normalcy. And if you're not able to donate, sharing this campaign with your network would also mean the world to us.
Thank you from the bottom of our hearts for your support, generosity, and kindness.
All support goes directly to the Strickland Family and their rebuilding efforts.
