The Blueford family has been a proud part of this community since 1956. Mom, or “Ms. Mary,” as many may know her, has been a pillar of love and generosity. She ran her beloved thrift store, Mary's Family Thrift, on the corner of Sunset and Orange Grove for over 20 years, serving neighbors with warmth and kindness. This January 15th, we are blessed to celebrate Mom’s incredible milestone—her 98th birthday! Her unwavering spirit continues to inspire everyone around her.
Kuliema has followed in her mother’s footsteps, dedicating her entire career to the nonprofit sector, passionately serving individuals and families in need. Together, we’ve been committed to lifting up our community in meaningful ways.
Life, however, has thrown us an unexpected curveball, and now we’re reaching out for your help to rebuild not only our home but also our lives. We are facing a challenge that has left us needing to start fresh—and we’re hoping you can be a part of this journey with us.
This house has been more than just a shelter; it’s been the heart of our family and the foundation of countless cherished memories. It’s where love grew, milestones were celebrated, and the spirit of community flourished. With your support, we can rebuild a space where we feel safe, secure, and ready to create new memories that honor our family’s legacy.
Every contribution, no matter the size, brings us one step closer to reclaiming what we’ve lost and starting anew. Thank you for being part of our story and for helping us build a future filled with hope, love, and resilience.
With gratitude and love,
The Blueford Family
