My name is Jinelle. Hurricane Melissa left my community in ruins. My school was damaged, which erased my only opportunity to continue my education. Our community in Jamaica was devastated by Hurricane Melissa. Several women, including my mother, my sister, and myself, have suffered severe losses, from destroyed homes and small businesses to the complete loss of educational opportunities. We are raising funds to rebuild essential structures and support our path back to stability, education, and independence.

We are asking for support to rebuild these structures and to help me return to my educational journey. This fund will go toward:

• Rebuilding my mother’s chicken coop.

• Repairing my sister’s business building.

• Helping me enroll in university to continue my studies.

We are a family of hardworking women and this disaster has taken away our stability and our income. Any support toward rebuilding, education and restoring our lives means more
