Help rebuild Hamwalk Primary School in St Catherine, Jamaica after Hurricane Melissa.
Rebuild Hope for Hamwalk Primary School
Help Restore Classrooms, Hope, and Opportunity for more than 250 Children
Hurricane Melissa devastated Hamwalk Primary School in St. Catherine, Jamaica, leaving classrooms flooded, roofs torn apart, and essential supplies destroyed. For over 250 students, Hamwalk was more than a school — it was a safe haven, a place of laughter, belonging, and the foundation of their dreams.

Who We Are
We are a coalition of volunteers, educators, and health professionals from:
1. Molloy University (New York)
2. PRN Relief International
3. The University of the West Indies (UWI) – Mona, Jamaica
4. Value Added Services Foundation, Jamaica

Founded by Dr. Denise Walsh and now led by Dr. Randy Pellew, this mission continues a long-standing commitment to serving Jamaica’s underserved communities through education, compassion, and global health outreach.

How Your Support Helps
Your donation will directly support efforts to:
✅ Rebuild the school's roof and classrooms damaged by Hurricane Melissa
✅ Replace destroyed school materials and furniture
✅ Restore clean water access for students and teachers
✅ Provide essential supplies to support learning and daily operations

Our goal is to welcome children back to a safe, fully equipped school by January 1, 2026.

Oversight and Transparency
I am Dr. Randy Pellew, Associate Professor and FNP Program Coordinator at Molloy University, New York. Together with Dr. Denise Walsh, CEO of PRN Relief International, we will personally oversee the management and responsible allocation of all funds.

This initiative is supported locally by:
Mr. Fabian Brown, CEO, Value Added Services Foundation &
Dr. Camile Wilson-Clarke, Program Director of Pharmacy, UWI Mona, Jamaica.
These individuals who have been long-time collaborators in multiple successful community outreach projects across Jamaica, will directly oversee the project until completion.

Accountability Promise
All funds will be used to:
Rebuild and repair the roof, classrooms, and windows.
Replace essential school supplies and learning materials
Support infrastructure restoration to ensure safety and sustainability
Regular updates, progress photos, and financial summaries will be shared here so every donor can see how their generosity is making a difference.

Join Us
Every contribution — big or small — helps restore hope and opportunity for children who dream of a brighter future.
Together, we can rebuild Hamwalk Primary School and ensure these young learners have the safe, joyful, and inspiring environment they deserve.

Who is overseeing the withdrawal of funds, into what bank account?
All funds will be deposited into my personal Chase bank account, which Dr Walsh and I will directly oversee to ensure proper management, documentation, and transparency.

Who is responsible for the management of the funds (purchasing, distributing items, etc.)?
Management of the funds—including purchasing, coordination, and distribution of items—will be handled collaboratively by:

The National Education Trust (NET), Dr. Wilson-Clarke ,Mr Fabian Brown and I, providing oversight and ensuring alignment with donor intent.
NET and Dr. Wilson-Clarke have agreed to assist with financial stewardship, procurement of materials, and coordinating distribution. They will also manage the technical and construction aspects, supported by the financial and material contributions received.

Will the funds be used for supplies or money? How will you be distributing it?
Funds will be used primarily for supplies, including construction materials, educational items, and essential goods needed for recovery efforts. Distribution will occur through NET and UWI, who will purchase and deliver items directly to beneficiary. All support will be delivered in the form of materials and supplies.

Timeline for the aid to be offered to individuals
The anticipated timeline for distribution to all stakeholders is by December 15th. The original target date was December 1st, but due to lower-than-expected early funding, the distribution timeline had to be extended to allow for adequate purchasing and coordination.

Thank you for your kindness, compassion, and support
