Last 4th of July (2024), someone unknown to Erica and Jason set off a firework, which hit a bush, which spread to a tree, which spread to their condo. The fire as well as the fighting of the fire (water, pressure, etc.) completely ruined their home.

Erica and Jason have worked so hard to budget and to work with insurance in hopes of covering everything themselves. However, insurance set a 1 year deadline for paying for their housing, and construction delays mean they are nowhere near ready to move back in yet. Therefore, they now need to keep paying for their condo as well as their temporary apartment, all by themselves. Who can do that?! We would of course take them in but they unfortunately can't stay with family because Erica's job requires her to physically remain in Colorado. They will likely require another 6 months of living expenses. Their construction needs also exceed what insurance is willing/able to cover.
