Rebuilding Hope: Burgener's Fire Relief Fund
Donation protected
Jeff and Rebecca Burgener, a young family of seven, including five children and Rebecca's mother, faced a harrowing experience on September 20, 2023, when their home was ravaged by fire, resulting in the loss of nearly all their possessions. Thankfully, the entire family and their dogs are safe, though they mourn the loss of their cherished pet bunny. They currently have a place to stay with Jeff's father, reliable transportation, and have been able to maintain their jobs. However, they did not have insurance to cover a disaster of this magnitude.
This fundraiser has a two-fold purpose: firstly, to pay off the remaining $25,000 owed on their home to prevent further property loss, and secondly, to help them replace essential items lost in the fire. The fire completely destroyed their kitchen, living room, master bedroom, and dining room, leaving only two bedrooms farthest from the flames salvageable. Most items in these two rooms can be saved. As a homeschooling family, they must replace textbooks, computers, a printer, paper, and all necessary classroom supplies. Additionally, they need to replenish their food supply, which was consumed by the fire. Please note that this campaign is not intended for housing or rebuilding; its sole purpose is to help them manage these immediate needs.
