Rebuilding Hope After House Burns 3 Times

Donation protected

On Saturday, Jan 8, 2025, at around 4 pm, my girlfriend, our two-and-a-half-year-old son, and I had pulled into the driveway where everything seemed normal after going to get fuses for the breaker, which had blown
just an hour earlier. After we went into the house, I was going to change the fuses in the box when I wanted to go upstairs and check for power in an outlet and make sure it was disconnected from power. That's when I smelled something burning and called for my girlfriend to come up and smell with me to confirm. After getting to the top of the stairs, she could smell the burning, and we immediately went to unplug any plugs. She happened to look up at the ceiling and saw a big black spot. We immediately knew that’s where the fire was coming from and got everyone out of the house ASAP and called 911.

They put the fire out in the attic, but sadly, we lost our entire bedroom due to water damage. We went and stayed with my grandparents for the night, and on Sunday, Feb. 9th, at 8 am, we got word that the house caught on fire again just mere hours earlier. Everything we owned was in the upstairs part of the residence because we were living with my grandparents. The entire top floor caught on fire, and everything is gone. We then got word around 7 pm that the house was on fire for a third time and started approximately around 6 pm. We still haven’t heard or seen the damages from the third fire.

We do not know exactly what is going to happen yet or what we will do as we will not be able to salvage anything of our property from the house like previously thought. As of right now, we are trying to navigate through this tough situation step by step with the help and support of close friends and family as well as anyone who is willing and able to help us.

All of the funds donated will be used towards new housing for my family and replacing clothes, furniture, hygiene items, etc., that were lost in the fires.

We are fundraising to help us recover from the devastating fires that have destroyed our home and belongings.

This fundraiser is for my girlfriend, our son, and myself as we try to rebuild our lives after losing everything in the fires.
