Rebuilding Hope: A Path to Stability and Creative Growth

We’re reaching out today with a humble request for assistance as my wife and I face an overwhelming financial situation. With the rising cost of living, combined with unexpected setbacks, we’ve been pushed to the brink of losing our home. My wife, Flor de Canela, and I have been working tirelessly to make ends meet, but it’s been an uphill battle. Your support would mean the world to us as we fight to keep our family safe and secure.

Despite working two part-time jobs and actively searching for a third, I’m struggling to meet the rising demands of basic living expenses. Flor de Canela has been working hard as well, doing side gigs to the best of her ability since being laid off from her graphic design job at the start of the COVID pandemic. She’s been tireless in keeping our household together and assisting me with everything, but neither of our efforts has been enough to cover it all.

This Summer has been especially tough for us. In June, my car was totaled, then in August, I contracted COVID, which put me out of work for a while and worsened our financial strain.

Between our mortgage, home and auto insurance, taxes, utility bills, credit debt, and the essential costs of food and transportation, we’re stretched too thin. The fear of losing our home—the first one we've ever owned—is weighing heavily on us. Although we have been making every effort to stay afloat, our situation has become overwhelming, and we now need assistance to avoid falling further behind.
