Rebuilding: Getting the Arthur family back home
Donation protected
A beautiful family and close friends to many, Adimika and Jeff Arthur, experienced a terrible event on Sunday, November 14 when their Oakland, CA home since 2003 sustained major damage from a fire displacing the couple and their two sons (Ajani age 11) and (Sekai age 5) for 6 months or more until repairs can be completed. Thankfully, they are all safe. But the long road back will be difficult emotionally, financially, and logistically-- and they need our support on all levels to help them cope with these challenges such as temporary housing and additional and unanticipated expenses such as clothing and household items and self-care resources.
This family endlessly supports the communities around them, and now it’s our turn to support them.
Jeff is an accomplished filmmaker and advocate of children’s education and Adimika, who was named one of the most influential voices in healthcare for 2021, is known for the creation of the nonprofit HealthTech for Medicaid (HT4M), and for her career long advocacy as an epidemiologist to support vulnerable Medicare populations.
We know people are eager to help so thank you for embracing this moment to give what you can. We know it will bring some ease to the Arthur family on their path to rebuilding and healing.
