Rebuilding from Helene and Fighting to not become paralyzed.

Hi, my name is Jen Rouse and I live in New Port Richey FL. On top of losing everything due to our area getting hit by Hurricane Helene, I have been dealing with some health issues that has now caused partial paralysis in my right arm and hand. After receiving the results for my MRI on October 1st, 2024, I thought I would be able to start scheduling surgery for Degenerative Disc Disease on my C5 and C6 vertebrae, however based on the results, another MRI and nerve conductive test is needed which I don't get the results for until Oct 29th. The diagnosis so far is the DDD in my C5 and C6 Spinal stenosis which is narrowing of the holes in your vertebrae where your nerves pass through as well as bone spurs on my C6 through C7. Some days I can hardly breath through the pain and I am now physically unable to to work. Once I get the results form the next MRI, I am hoping to then be able to discuss surgery options because if I don't get surgery, it will ultimately cause me to become paralyzed. Anyone that knows me knows that I was a very hard worker and avid paddleboarder. I am fighting to try to save my quality of life which has greatly decreased. With that being said once they schedule surgery, possibly more than one, it will be another long road to recovery. I would truly appreciate any help to rebuild my belongings, my life, and my health. I'm not giving up that easy. I just need some help to push me along in this fight so that I don't become paralyzed. Much love and thank you all.
