Our dear friend Blake is the kind of person who always gives everything to his community, friends and family. In a heartbreaking house fire, while Blake was in the home unaware and his son was thankfully not present, their family house was completely destroyed.

Blake— a devoted single parent with no home insurance — escaped with nothing but the clothes he was wearing. A lifetime of memories, his child’s belongings and everything they relied on are gone. We are so grateful they are safe, but they have been left with absolutely nothing.

The local community has been amazing, helping to clear all the burnt debris from the site. At this time the home is completely gutted, unsafe and uninhabitable. To even begin making it livable again, the following needs to be addressed:

- urgent Roof replacement before the winter

- Structural safety work which is currently being assessed

- Restoration of the rooms and bathrooms

- Full redecoration of the entire home due to smoke damage

We’ve launched this fundraiser to help Blake and his son through this devastating loss. Funds will go directly toward:

- Safe temporary accommodation

- Food, clothing and immediate essentials, school education essentials for his son such as uniform.

- Repairs and rebuilding (roof, structure, room restorations and redecoration)
