Last week, on January 27th, 86 year old Merlin Moriarty lost his home of 52 years in a devastating house fire.
In a matter of moments, everything he owned - clothes, furniture, family photos, and daily necessities - was gone.
Fortunately for Merlin, he is safe and was not harmed. Tragically, his beloved pets: Duke the dog, and Jill the cat perished as the fire spread instantaneously.
Sadly, Merlin did not have home-owners insurance, leaving him without a financial safety net to begin rebuilding.
At this stage of life and a very limited pension income, starting over is incredibly difficult. Funds raised will go directly toward basic necessities and rebuilding costs, helping Merlin regain stability and dignity after his unimaginable loss.
Any donation, no matter the size, will make a meaningful difference. If you are unable to give, please consider sharing this fundraising effort to help spread the word.
Thank you for your kindness and support during this difficult time.
