Last night, my niece Elizabeth, her husband Mitchell, and their children Orianna and Liem experienced every family’s worst nightmare, their home was lost in a devastating fire. Thankfully, they were able to get out of the house safely.
In a matter of hours, they lost nearly everything. Their kitchen and living room are gone, along with all of their everyday essentials. Anything that may be salvageable will require extensive deep cleaning and washing before it can be safely used again. Mitchell also lost his truck and motorcycle in the fire.
One of the hardest moments were watching their home burn and the children’s things burn, their bikes, scooters, and ride-on toys, along with all of their camping gear and outdoor supplies, which were a huge part of their family life. This is a family that truly loves the outdoors, spending time together camping, exploring, and making memories.
Right now, they are starting completely over and are in need of basic essentials such as blankets, pillows, storage containers, clothing, household items, and kitchen necessities. The road ahead will be long, but they are facing it with strength and grace.
Elizabeth and Mitchell are incredible parents, hardworking, devoted, and deeply loving. Their children are their world, and everything they do is for their family. Any support, whether through donations or sharing this fundraiser, will help them begin to rebuild their lives and give their kids a sense of comfort and normalcy again.
Thank you from the bottom of our hearts for your kindness, prayers, and support during this incredibly difficult time.
