Help Chef Mecca Rebuild After House Fire

We are raising funds for Mecca Perkins, lovingly known as Chef Mecca, after a devastating house fire that resulted in the total loss of her home and belongings.

At just 23 years old, Mecca is a passionate, hardworking, and faith-driven chef and entrepreneur—the founder of Munchies Wit The Mec, a growing culinary brand rooted in culture, creativity, and service. Her food tells a story, blending Southern soul, Italian influence, and Charleston roots, but even more than that, her work reflects her heart.

Mecca has always believed that food is a form of ministry. She has used her gifts to serve her community by providing meals to people experiencing homelessness, supporting local events, and showing up wherever help was needed. Even while building her business from the ground up, she has consistently made room to give back—trusting God to guide and provide every step of the way.

This fire has taken everything—her home, clothing, furniture, personal belongings, and many of the essentials she relied on both personally and professionally. Like many young entrepreneurs, Mecca was actively reinvesting in herself and her future. This loss is overwhelming, but it is not the end of her story. We believe God is still writing it.

We are asking for support to help Mecca:

    •    Secure safe housing and immediate necessities

    •    Replace clothing, furniture, and personal essentials

    •    Begin rebuilding the tools needed to continue her culinary work

    •    Have the space to heal without the pressure of starting over alone
