Hi, my name is Tom and I'm fundraising for a good friend of mine, Dan and his boat, Bonnie.

Dan lost his home and all his possessions when Bonnie sank in the Trent and Mersey Canal on the 16th of June.

Dan bought Bonnie less than 2 months ago and put every penny he had into her. A fault with the weed hatch caused water to flood into the boat and before Dan knew, it it was too late to stop Bonnie from sinking.

As mentioned before, Dan is now homeless and has lost virtually all of his possessions. On top of that, he has very little money to make Bonnie mobile and liveable again due to pouring all of his money into buying her and the cost of recovering her from the bottom of the canal.

The money raised to help Dan will go towards paying for:

• Recovery costs

• Getting her lifted

• Materials

• Engine repair

• Re-wire and new battery

• Weed hatch repair

• Cooker

• New water pump

• New filter

• New survey

• Replacing lost items

The list goes on...

Dan himself is a really good person. Having served in the army for over 7 years and now working for children’s services, he has always put others before himself. Dan really deserves a break in life, so please dig deep and donate what you can so we can repair Dan's home and give Bonnie a second lease of life.
