Our family is reaching out to ask for help for someone who has spent his life helping others.
Bob Kircher recently lost his home and his car in a devastating fire. Much of the home was destroyed, and the rest is heavily damaged by smoke. He had no home or auto insurance, and in a single moment, nearly everything he owned was gone.
But the loss of his home comes after several deeply painful years. Bob lost his beloved wife, Sandee, suddenly just a few years ago. This past November, he lost his daughter to cancer. Only days before that, his brother also passed away. The fire is just the latest hardship in a season filled with grief.
For those who know Bob, the overwhelming feeling isn’t just sadness—it’s a strong desire to give back to a man and a couple who gave nearly everything they had to others.
Bob and Sandee spent much of their lives serving the Valley and Chewelah communities. They ran a Christian school where they poured into the lives of students and their families, not just academically, but personally and spiritually. Their door was always open to anyone who needed guidance, encouragement, or simply someone to listen.
They also owned and operated a bakery in Chewelah, where they hired students, mentored young people, and built real relationships with customers and community members. It wasn’t just a business—it was another place where people felt known, welcomed, and cared for.
Their home was no different. Over the years, they opened their doors to foster children and those who simply needed a place to stay. Many people found a warm bed, a hot meal, and a sense of belonging under their roof. Some of those children became part of the family permanently through adoption.
They gave what they had—time, energy, love, food, shelter, and guidance—to countless people over the years. They didn’t do it for recognition. They did it because that’s who they were.
Now, after a lifetime of generosity and service to their family, church, and community, Bob is the one in need.
We are starting this fundraiser to help him recover from the fire and to rebuild his life. Funds will go toward:
Existing home restoration (heavy smoke damage)
Replacing essential personal belongings
Transportation needs
Temporary and long-term housing support
Basic living expenses during this transition
If you knew Bob and Sandee, you already know the kind of people they were. If you didn’t, please know this: many lives are better today because of their kindness, faith, and willingness to help anyone who crossed their path.
Now it’s our turn to give back.
Any donation, big or small, will help Bob take the next steps forward. And if you’re not able to give, sharing this page would mean just as much.
Thank you for your love, prayers, and support.
