Rebuilding Avary's organs to play once again!

Hello, my name is Corey. I am the proud father of Avary. This is not something that I would ever consider doing under typical circumstances for our family, but these are not typical times.

Avary is the 7 yr old boisterous love of my life! Our lives have been changing drastically over the past year! I have become the sole custodial parent of Avary along with planning to blend our lives with my fiancé and her children to make one big whole lotta fun family!

This past Monday our world was turned upside down as Avary and her big sister Avery took the four-wheeler to get Grandpa's mail. Both were wearing safety helmets, and have developed trust with riding, so we were not concerned. The four-wheeler had a malfunction, control was lost, and ultimately the two girls were rolled and flipped off. "Big Avers" was able to use her quick thinking to hit the kill switch, and run to get help/ call 911. "Lil Avers" was worse for wear. She attempted to get up and walk, but fell quickly. We rushed out there to do what we could with our First Aid training until EMT's arrived. Both were rushed to the nearest hospital with injuries, but Lil Avery was bleeding internally and struggling with breathing. Efforts to stabilize her resulted in 4 pints of blood being required and ultimately being rushed to the Twin Cities Children's Hospital. Currently she is in a medically induced coma as her liver is healing. There is bruising of both of her lungs along with fluid building up around her chest cavity. There is need for surgery that is continually talked about, but the lacerations on her liver need to heal more first. The doctors are talking about this being a couple weeks to a few months for the procedures and recovery to get underway. Currently we are.asked to be patient and allow for the human body to do its' part while the medical team does theirs to make sure she is not in too much pain, and that she is closely monitored.

We have insurance and there is some debate as to what and how the insurances are going to cover (home owners/auto/ personal/etc). We are not trying to focus on that as we are guiding our energies and attention on being present with Avary in her time of need. We are trying to make sure to be ready for the potential co-pays/ insurance expenses depending on how this whole thing shakes out. There are so many needs and possibilities that may be needed that we are wanting to prepare however we can so that we are not in a position of unnecessary stress/anxiety on top of making sure the recovery is progressing.

If you are in a position to contribute towards our medical expenses, we would greatly appreciate anything. If we find that the insurances cover the procedures and the funds donated are not needed, we plan to pay it forward to another GoFundMe request in a similar situation. Even if monetary options are not a possibility for you, please keep us in your thoughts and prayers. Appreciate the fragility of the relationships you have, and hopefully you will not be in a similar position as myself currently.

Thank you for taking the time to read this.
