This is Andrew. He is blind from birth and music is his life and chosen profession. Recently we escaped a house fire that destroyed all of his instruments and music equipment. He uses music as an outlet and as an integral part of his coping mechanism. He plans to have a career in music because it’s what he loves, but also to achieve personal and financial independence. He had a Braille Sense, which is imperative for a blind person in the age of technology, and we had managed to accumulate equipment that was very important to him for special needs and daily life. We are trying to replace these tools as quickly as possible so he can get back to living and have a sense of self and direction.
