Historic flooding in Washington State has left entire communities underwater after days of relentless rain. In Whatcom County, the town of Sumas was especially hard hit when the Nooksack River overflowed, turning streets and homes into flood zones and forcing widespread evacuations.
Among those affected are our cousins, a young family with two children. They were living in a trailer while saving to move onto their own land and build a permanent home. In just a few hours, the flood completely destroyed their trailer and most of their belongings. Unfortunately, their insurance will not cover the damage.
What they lost wasn’t just a home — it was years of hard work and plans for their family’s future. Now they are facing the heartbreaking reality of starting over.
We are asking for help to support them during this incredibly difficult time. Donations will go toward temporary housing, replacing essential items, and helping them begin rebuilding their lives. Any amount helps, and if you’re unable to donate, please consider sharing this fundraiser.
Thank you for your kindness, prayers, and support during this difficult time.
