Hi! I wanted to give people on my side of the world an opportunity to help the communities that have been devastated by the recent natural disaster in the Philippines.

 

As you may know, a super typhoon, also known as Odette or Rai, passed through my hometown (Bacolod city) last week and caused so much damage that the most disadvantaged population lost everything they had. Christmas is coming in a few days and numerous people are left without a roof over their heads. I’m setting this page up in hopes to raise money to send home to my parents’ outreach program that will provide food and other essentials to people in need, and if funding is enough, hopefully help rebuild the homes that were lost during the storm.

 

I have the goal set to $1,000, but as some may know, any amount goes a very long way in countries like the Philippines. I know that this pandemic has been hard on so many of us financially, but any small amount (e.g., the price of a coffee) can make a huge difference in these communities right now. So if you have the means to donate some money to this cause, please do, as you would not only be helping them during this tough time but providing some sense of relief during this Christmas season.
