Rebuilding after tragedy and loss: Kathy's plea for help

My name is Kathy Steele. My family has endured a lot of trauma since April 5th, 2025. Our house was hit by a tornado which caused multiple trees to fall on our house, my car, and my husband's truck. My car was totaled, my husband's truck has damage to the tailgate, roof, and 2 windows were taken out. Our house was hit by 2 different trees which caved in the roof and ceilings of our dining room and living room, and blew out the wall in the dining room. We had to get a tree removal service to get the trees out of the roof before it could be tarped.

Due to the storm damage, my husband Jerry had to try to do most of the cleanup by himself, and as a result of the stress and extra work, he developed PTSD and started experiencing severe panic attacks which led to him having a heart attack on May 9th and passing away 2 weeks later on May 23rd due to complications from the heart attack. We also have no life insurance for him. My son Jared and I are lost without him, he was the heart, soul and laughter of our family and we will never be the same.

I am retired and disabled and we have NO house insurance, so there's no money for repairs. I paid my car off in December of 2024 and decided to drop full coverage on my car to save money, so there's no money to replace my car. I also now have medical bills from Jerry's 2 week stay in the hospital that aren't going to be covered by his health insurance that have started to come in.

My Social Security is very minimal and Jerry's isn't much better. I need money to pay for house repairs and funeral expenses. I had him cremated to save money, but I have no money to pay for the cremation either, and the repairs to the house and a down payment for a car. I know God is with us during this time, but my son Jared and I can't get our lives back together until we get the house back together.
