As some of you know, on 7 May 2024, my family and I suffered a devastating house fire that caused over £200,000 in damage and changed our lives for ever. In that single night, we lost not only our home but also our beloved dog Dafney, who tragically died from carbon monoxide poisoning. We also nearly lost ourselves and narrowly escaped after being rushed to hospital for emergency treatment or we would have followed her to the other side of the rainbow. We are deeply thankful to be alive but survival was only the beginning and the journey since has been unimaginably hard.

Despite 19 months of continuous engagement, our insurer has still not paid out. This prolonged delay has left us under severe financial strain. Our family disposable income barely covers basic living costs, let alone the enormous expense of trying to restore our home to a liveable condition. We have been forced to shoulder this burden alone while fighting for what is rightfully owed.

The emotional toll has been immense. Losing our dog, the trauma of the fire, and the relentless uncertainty have tested us beyond measure. Yet, we remain determined to rebuild, not just our home, but our sense of stability and peace.

Today, I am reaching out to the community for support or donations during this extremely difficult period. Any contribution, no matter the size, would make a meaningful difference as we work to restore our home and move forward.
