When Hurricane Melissa tore through the Caribbean, it didn’t just bring wind and rain. It brought destruction, fear, and loss.
Many families in our congregation and extended community are now living through a reality no one should have to face:
- Homes without roofs
- Bedrooms filled with floodwater
- Walls cracked or collapsed
- Power gone, food spoiled
- Children sleeping on soaked mattresses
- Families displaced, staying wherever they can
- Some homes are no longer safe to live in at all.
Yet even in all this devastation… our people are still giving thanks.
Still praying.
Still believing.
But now they need help.
Who We Are
This fundraiser is organized under the ministry T.H.U.G — True Hebrews Under God, led and represented by our congregation.
Our organization is a faith-based ministry devoted to uplifting our community, feeding families, supporting those in crisis, teaching the commandments and faith of Christ, and serving the poor, the broken, and the forgotten.
We are a congregation that loves, supports, and uplifts one another.
When one family suffers, we all feel it.
When the storm hit, our phones did not stop ringing — checking on brothers, sisters, elders, and children — making sure everyone was accounted for and safe.
We believe that true faith is shown through action, love, and service.
James 2:15–16 (KJV):
“If a brother or sister be naked, and destitute of daily food, And one of you say unto them, Depart in peace… notwithstanding ye give them not those things which are needful to the body; what doth it profit?”
True Hebrews Under God is not just a name.
It is a mission, a calling, and a responsibility to help our people in their time of need.
How The Funds Will Help
Every dollar donated goes directly toward families who are:
- Replacing mattresses, clothing, and children’s necessities
- Repairing roofs and flooded rooms
- Restoring electricity and basic home functioning
- Purchasing food, clean water, medication, and toiletries
- Assisting families who must relocate due to unsafe living conditions
This is not just about rebuilding houses.
It’s about rebuilding lives.
Why We Are Asking
- Some of our brothers and sisters are sleeping under leaking ceilings.
- Some lost everything overnight.
- Some are praying for relief, for dry clothes for their children.
If you have ever needed mercy, if you have ever been blessed by someone else’s kindness, if you believe in compassion, you understand why we are doing this.
No donation is too small. Anything can help provide food, water, or supplies for a family in crisis.
