Early Morning Fire Destroys Home

Early this morning (Thursday, January 29th) a fast moving fire claimed the home of my ex husband, Ben, and his two tiny furbabies, Pickles & Wembley.

They are lucky to be alive after a lithium ion battery for his scooter that had been charging suddenly exploded. Within minutes his home was engulfed in flames. He didn’t even have time to grab his shoes.

They’ve lost everything and are now facing an uncertain future with many challenges ahead in the days, weeks and months to come. He’s had a particularly rough go of it, losing both of his parents and his older brother all within the span of a year and a half. He was recently laid off from work and now finds himself and his two pups starting over with nothing but each other, the clothes on his back and the care kits the Red Cross so kindly provided.

If anyone out there can donate to help them get back on their feet/paws, we would all be forever grateful. I’m going to do all I can to rally as much support around them as I possibly can and I thank you for helping me with this mission.
