On Sunday, 4 days before Christmas, our family experienced an unimaginable loss when a devastating house fire destroyed the home where multiple generations of our family have lived.

My cousin Amy and her five children lost everything in the fire. The home was also shared by my aunt Sue, my uncle Wayne, and my cousin Tommy. Thankfully, everyone made it out safely, but the house and all of their belongings were completely lost.

This was not just a house. It was the home my mom and her siblings grew up in, a place filled with decades of memories, milestones, and family history. Generations of our family have lived within its walls, and its loss has left a deep hole in our hearts.

Right now, Amy and her children, along with Sue, Wayne, and Tommy, are facing the overwhelming task of starting over. They need help with immediate necessities like clothing, food, temporary housing, and essentials for the kids, as well as longer-term needs as they work to rebuild their lives.
