At around 2:00 a.m., Mark Dailey and his fiancée, Jazmin, woke up to a nightmare — their home was on fire. The flames moved so fast that Mark and his family became trapped in the youngest son’s bedroom, with no safe way out through the hallway. Smoke filled the room, and all of them began struggling to breathe as the fire closed in.

With no time to spare, Mark broke the bedroom window with his bare hands and body, shattering the glass so his family could escape. In the process, Mark suffered cuts on his chest, feet, and arms.

Together, Mark and Jazmin worked as a team — Mark got out first, then the boys were lifted through the window one by one. When Jazmin climbed out, she sustained injuries. She received cuts to her hand, scrapes and bruises to her back while fleeing the house.

The boys made it out physically unharmed — just terrified.

But everything this young family owned was destroyed.

Clothes, shoes, beds, important documents, toys, electronics, and all their daily essentials were lost within minutes.
